Today Penultimo broke a record. We are the only blog in the world to publish 700 posts loosely related to the topic of “Ultimo”, in the space of 422 days. We are quite certain that no one else can make this claim.

Last Sunday morning, I threw myself and my boyfriend out of bed at 6am, grabbed my Holga and made the poor guy jog down with me to Bondi for the last day of the annual Sculptures by the Sea. By now, this massive outdoor sculpture gallery attracts more than half a million visitors and I was hoping to have a look at this year’s art works at a pace faster than a snail’s. For the occasion, I popped in a roll of slide film - never been tried and therefore even more excited than usual to see the results. Shooting slide film is a crazy fun experience, lots of vivid colour and sharp resolution that knocked my socks off.
